Programme Overview

Goal

To support, equip, and mentor leaders and aspiring leaders in the European marketplace to navigate the challenge of integrating the professional, personal, and spiritual dimensions of their lives.  Desired results include greater clarity of purpose, direction, and desired impact; thus, providing a context and framework for consistent, effective decision making.

Participants

Ten to twelve business leaders or owners who desire to be used by God to have greater impact in their business and community.

Qualifications

Participants are devoted followers of Jesus Christ and employed in the secular marketplace as business owners, CEOs and presidents, or managers in their companies.  Aspiring business managers may be accepted depending on experience.

  • 21 May 2022 (14:00-17:30 CEST):  Pre-Forum Seminar in Wisla, Poland

  • During the 2022 Forum:  One-on-one meetings with Steve

  • Three 2-hour webinars with assignments:

o   21 June 2022 (15:00-17:00 CEST)

o   4 October 2022 (15:00-17:00 CEST)

o   7 March 2023 (15:00-17:00 CEST)

  • 6 – 19 September 2022:  One-on-one Zoom meetings with Steve

  • 6 – 8 December 2022:  Three-day retreat (exact location TBD)

  • 5 – 15 April 2023:  One-on-one Zoom meetings with Steve

  • 19 – 20 May 2023:  Pre-Forum Conference at the 2023 Forum in Wisla, Poland

YRM Leader

Stephen Giere has served in Christian ministry in America and Europe for more than forty years. He is in his 17th year of teaching and leading a Bible Study Fellowship (BSF) class of 500 men in Chicago. Steve is a board member with the Forum of Christian Leaders serving in Europe with the European Leadership Forum. Key to his role is shepherding and mentoring young leaders. Steve and his wife, Connie, are residents of Chicago and members of The Moody Church, a diverse, urban congregation with seventy countries of birth and fifty mother languages represented in its membership. There he teaches and serves as an elder. They have two grown children and ten grandchildren. Steve retired in 2019 after 45 years engaged in finance and investment management with experience as a corporate manager and as a business owner. His corporate career was mostly with the Northern Trust Corporation in Chicago serving in various management roles including CEO of a Northern Trust subsidiary bank. He then moved into investment management with Smith Barney, part of Citigroup Corporation, where he served as a registered investment advisor and Senior Portfolio Manager, after which he went into private practice until retirement. Steve earned his B.A. in psychology at North Central College in Naperville, IL, and M.B.A. from the J.L. Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University in Evanston, IL.
