Programme Overview

Goal

To mentor and help participants to think through, appreciate, and defend the core principles of Evangelical Theology, the formal principles of the Bible, and the material principles of the Gospel.

Participants

Eight to twelve people who are willing to commit to becoming part of a learning community.

Plan

  • Pre-Forum Seminar at the 2022 Forum in Wisla, Poland on 21 May (14:00-17:30 CEST)

  • Four 90-minute webinars with assignments

  • Three-day retreat on 6-8 December 2022 (exact location TBD)

  • Pre-Forum Conference at the 2023 Forum in Wisla, Poland on May 19 and 20, 2023

 YRM Leader

Ádám Szabados is a Hungarian theologian and the leader of the Hungarian Evangelical Forum. Until 2017 he had been a pastor for 20 years. He is married to Dóra and has two adult sons. He studied English literature and linguistics at the University of Veszprém (MA equivalent, with honours), and theology at Schloss Mittersill Study Center (Diploma in Biblical Studies and Culture) and at Covenant Theological Seminary (ThM in Exegetical Theology). He received his PhD (summa cum laude) in the area of New Testament at Károli Reformed University. His study on the Reformational understanding of sin has been published by the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. He wrote a book on Eros (Erosz nyomában, Harmat Publishing House, 2008), which aims to address both Christians and non-Christians in their search for the good, the true, and the beautiful. His book on apostolic authority and early tradition (Az apostolok hagyománya. KRE-L'Harmattan) is coming out this spring. Ádám also has a popular theological-apologetic website (divinity.szabadosadam.hu).
