Programme Overview
GOAL
The goal of this mentoring programme is to walk through an entire year together with leaders of organisations, addressing each of the typical issues that occur at various stages of the developmental year. Five scheduled webinars, an intense retreat, and scheduled group activities at the annual European Leadership Forum will provide opportunity to explore the how to build a sustainable 21st century ministry. Students electing to pursue the professional development certification CDP (Certified Development Professional) can complete all requirements during the course of this year.
PARTICIPANTS
The mentoring group will be limited to 18 participants. Participants will be expected to attend each webinar and complete webinar assignments.
QUALIFICATION
Each participant must be in an administrative role within an organisation. They could serve either as a staff member of an organization or as a volunteer whose work involves areas relating to development (fund-raising, client recruitment, public relations, planning, etc.).
PLAN
The programme will include the following:
1) Full participation at the European Leadership Forum in the Organisational Development & Fundraising Network in the 2022 Forum (21-26 May 2022).
2) Five one-hour webinars and webinar assignments. Participants can expect an average of 5-8 hours of work between Webinars. This will be a combination of reading assignments, video review and practical application of Network principles.
3) Full participation at the ELF Mid-Winter Retreat on 6-8 December 2022 (exact location TBD). The participant fees for the retreat are 150 Euros, or 100 Euros for scholarship recipients. For the retreat, non-scholarship recipients also have the option, which must be chosen in the application form, of paying 190 Euros in order to stay in a single room. Participants are also responsible for their own travel expenses.
4) Full participation in the ELF Pre-Forum on May 2023, in order to present your Development Plan for your ministry. The fees for the 2023 Pre-Forum Conference are 80 Euros for a Double Room and 90 Euros for a Single Room / 68 Euros for scholarship recipients. Participants will still need to apply for the European Leadership Forum and will be responsible for paying Forum fees in order to participate in the 2023 Forum. Participants must also pay for their own travel expenses.
YRM Leader
Gregory Long is an author, speaker & church elder. His 35+ years of ministry leadership steeps every conversation and presentation. He has taught non-profit leadership at the undergraduate and graduate level. Greg serves as a Network Leader for the European Leadership Forum, with on-going mentoring relationships in Central Europe and Africa.
He currently heads The NonProfit Authority (NPA), specializing in strategic planning, development and full-service consulting. (www.npauthority.com) The content for this Network is based on Certified Development Professional (CDP). CDP has been used by 3500+ development leaders in more than 50 countries since 1993, and has been the main curriculum for this Network for two decades.
